Govt plans hiring incentive for employers

The Government is preparing a new plan to incentivise businesses to hire new staff and reduce the number of people on unemployment benefit.

The '+One' scheme would see employers paid €1 out of every €5 involved in the cost of hiring people, with payments continuing for two years. It is expected to be worth around €5,000 a year to the employer.
