Lloyd's of London back in profit
Specialist insurance market Lloyd's of London posted a return to profit today after benefiting from a "benign" six months for natural catastrophes.
The surplus of £1.5bn (€1.88bn) is in sharp contrast to a year ago, when Lloyd's recorded an interim loss of £697m (€874.7m) in what turned out to be the second most expensive year on record for the insurance industry.
