Central Bank to probe sales of payment protection insurance
The Central Bank is to further investigate sales of payment protection insurance to borrowers.
It follows an initial review covering seven lenders last year, which raised a number of concerns.
Experts looked into the suitability of the sale of the policies to find out whether they complied with guidelines for the area.
The Central Bank expects to publish a summary of its main findings once the next round of inquiries is complete, within the first half of this year.
