National Irish Bank has reported an operating profit before impairment charges of €45m, a decrease of 7% on last year.

National Irish Bank has reported an operating profit before impairment charges of €45m, a decrease of 7% on last year.

It comes as its parent, Danske Bank Group, announced its financial results for the twelve months to December 31, 2011. Profit before tax at the Danish bank was down 35% to €566m.
