Just under 170 Irish companies collapsed every month last year owing €1.9bn in unpaid debt, according to new figures released today.

Just under 170 Irish companies collapsed every month last year owing €1.9bn in unpaid debt, according to new figures released today.

The survey by business analysis group Vision-net reveals that a total of 1,930 Irish firms failed between January and December last year, a 20% jump on the year before.
