The Finance Minister Michael Noonan has welcomed the decision from the European Commission to approve Bank of Ireland's revised restructuring plan under EU state aid rules.

The Finance Minister Michael Noonan has welcomed the decision from the European Commission to approve Bank of Ireland's revised restructuring plan under EU state aid rules.

The Commission has decided that the plan provides "an appropriate contribution by the bank to its restructuring costs and contains measures to limit distortions of competition in the Irish banking sector".
