Irish households had a combined €86.5bn on deposit with banks at the end of September, a drop of 5% on the previous year, according to latest Central Bank data.

Irish households had a combined €86.5bn on deposit with banks at the end of September, a drop of 5% on the previous year, according to latest Central Bank data.

New data also shows that households have outstanding credit from the banks of over €117bn, excluding homeloans.
