Report: ESB 'seeking 1,000 job cuts'

ESB management is seeking 1,000 job cuts over the next four years as part of its proposal to save €140 million in payroll costs, it was reported this morning.

Today's Sunday Business Post quoted sources as saying that the majority of job losses would come under a voluntary severance scheme that would first have to be approved by unions.
