Stena Line to close ferry route for the winter

Stena Line has announced that its HSS fast craft Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead operation, which currently operates daily, will be reduced to a seasonal service.

Management at the company said the decision was taken because the service has traded at a financial loss for several years.

The service will run until September 13 and then the craft will lay-by over the winter period until the 2012 season.
