Stock markets continue recovery

Global stock markets are up this afternoon following last week's volatility.

The news comes as preparations continue for a meeting between the French President and German Chancellor tomorrow.

Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel are expected to try and reassure markets that the eurozone's debt crisis is under control.

Speculation that the pair could unveil plans for more fiscal co-operation has been played down.
