Asian stocks suffer Europe fallout

Asian stock markets mostly fell today amid mounting concerns about the health of Europe’s banks and a weakening global economy.

Oil prices hovered below $83 a barrel as investors debated whether weakening economic growth in the US and Europe would undermine global crude demand. The dollar slipped against the yen and the euro.
