The growth of the grocery market in Ireland has slowed dramatically to below 1% as shoppers cut back on spending, according to new figures from Kantar Worldpanel.

The figures, covering the for the 12 weeks to June 12, also found that discount stores like Lidl and Aldi have gained over more expensive shops like Superquinn.
