Statistics published by the CSO today show that exports in April were valued up 6% on the same month last year to €7.79bn.
The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton has welcomed the announcement saying that a strong export performance will be "crucial" in driving the recovery in the wider Irish economy.
