Thomas Cook posts wider losses
Tour operator Thomas Cook today said it will take a further £35m (€39.7m) hit from the uprisings in the Middle East as the business reported widening losses amid weak demand in the UK.
The business, which has already taken a £22m (€24.9m) hit after the unrest in Tunisia and Egypt caused bookings to be cancelled, said operating losses increased 36% to £165.8m (€188.2m) in the six months to March 31.
