Banking crisis not turning global banks off Ireland: Conference
The domestic banking crisis is not hindering Ireland's ability to keep foreign financial institutions doing business here, a major conference is hearing today.
'The Federation of International Banks in Ireland' group is meeting in Dublin to examine how the sector is being impacted by the crisis.
Paul O'Connor of the Irish Banking Federation says our reputation remains good:
"We have a very high skill set…and our corporate tax rate," he said. "Throughout the crisis, all the international banks have kept a presence here and quite a few are expanding their operations."
