Toyota still the world's biggest car-maker

Toyota is still the world's biggest car maker, despite a global safety crisis that dented the brand's image.

Global sales rose 8% year-on-year in 2010, to 8.4 million vehicles, just ahead of the 8.29 million sold by a resurgent General Motors.
