Ryanair to boycott 'pointless' airport charges consultation

Ryanair has said it will boycott the Aviation Regulator's consultation process on airport charges.

The no frills airline is describing the consultations as a "pointless sham" and a "box ticking exercise" for Government-imposed price increases.

A statement from Ryanair this afternoon said the increases will make Irish airports even more expensive and uncompetitive, leading to even further reductions in traffic in 2011 and beyond.
