Newspaper reports in Poland suggest Spanish bank Santander is the most likely of three bidders to acquire AIB's stake in Polish bank Zachodni.
The sale is expected to be concluded in the next week with AIB expecting to realise up to €2.9bn for its 70% share of the Polish lender.
