UK borrowing set to increase
The UK's creaking public finances are today set to show another plunge into the red in July during a month when the national accounts usually register a surplus.
Analysts expect net borrowing of almost £4bn (€4.85bn) over the month - a sluggish improvement on last year, but well down on the £5.3bn (€6.43bn) net repayment seen in 2008.
