Concern as Dow Jones Index falls for seventh consecutive day

The Dow Jones Index in New York fell 46.05, or 0.5%, to 9,686.48 last night, its seventh straight loss.

The Dow has not fallen for seven straight days since an eight-day loss that ended on October 10, 2008.
