Finance officials to assess Greek cost-cutting

Officials from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund are in Greece today to check on how the government there is implementing the country's tough new austerity plan.

Despite repeated strikes and protests on the streets in recent weeks, Greek politicians are said to be optimistic that the measures are starting to reduce the country's massive debt.
