Aer Lingus have announced a fall in passenger number for the month of May 2010 mainly due to the closure of Irish and UK airspace and parts of European airspace due to ash clouds from the eruption of the volcano in Eyjafjallajokull, Iceland.

Aer Lingus have announced a fall in passenger number for the month of May 2010 mainly due to the closure of Irish and UK airspace and parts of European airspace due to ash clouds from the eruption of the volcano in Eyjafjallajokull, Iceland.

Aer Lingus’ total passenger numbers in May 2010 were 876,000, a decrease of 9.9% compared to May 2009.
