AIB to embark on cost-reduction programme

AIB Bank is to undertake a cost-reduction programme once the bank's poor-performing loans have been transferred to Nama.

In a trading statement issued this morning, the bank says a more streamlined structure will be required in line with the banks reduced size once business disposals are completed.
