More than 1,000 aspiring entrepreneurs asked about starting up a new food business last year, it emerged today.

More than 1,000 aspiring entrepreneurs asked about starting up a new food business last year, it emerged today.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) said that as as unemployment soared in 2009 there was a 50% increase in numbers hoping to carve out a new career in the sector.
