Date centre to create 90 jobs during construction phase
Ninety new jobs are to be created in Dublin during the construction of a €12m data centre by European firm Interxion, it was announced today.
"Employing 90 construction workers over the initial construction phase, the data centre is due for completion and will be ready for customer installations in early 2010," the company said in a statement.
"The new data centre is required to meet growing customer demand for energy-efficient yet high-power-density data centre infrastructure and outsourced managed services."
Interxion is a leading operator of carrier-neutral data centres.
Headquartered in Schiphol-Rijk, The Netherlands, the company serves its customers from 25 carrier-neutral data centres located in 13 cities across 11 European countries.
Its Irish operation is located in Park West, Dublin 12.
