Former Finance Minister Alan Dukes has said he would not hold his breath waiting for the Irish economy to show signs of recovery next year.

Speaking at the second annual World Credit Congress in Dublin, the Anglo Irish Bank public interest director said he would be pessimistic about growth prospects for next year until the banking crisis is resolved and credit begins flowing again.
