The president of the Irish Farmers Association is warning the Government and other decision-makers not to underestimate the potential of the agri-business sector.

Padraig Walshe claims the sector, and in particular tourism and the green economy, can grow billions of euro worth of exports and create at least 20,000 jobs.

Agri-business and its potential is the focus of an economic forum of Irish farming and food industry leaders which is taking place in Dublin this morning.

IFA president Padraig Walshe says farming and food can play a huge part in our economic recovery.
