Rate of manufacturing industry decline at lowest level since February 2008

The Irish manufacturing sector is slowly moving towards recovery, new figures released today have indicated.

Both output and new orders fell only slightly, and purchasing activity decreased at a markedly slower rate, according to seasonally adjusted NCB Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI).
