British govt accused of failing to offer 'economic leadership'

British shadow chancellor George Osborne today accused the British government of failing to offer “economic leadership” as Britain’s recession stretches on.

Official figures released yesterday showed that the British economy shrank by 0.4% in the third quarter of this year, meaning that the UK is in the grip of the longest recession since records began.
