Trinity College professor to become Central Bank governor

A leading expert on the banking crisis is set to become the new governor of the Central Bank.

Trinity College Dublin professor Patrick Honohan has proposed that the Government minimises the risk to taxpayers when establishing NAMA by paying banks in two stages for risky loans.
