The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down 19.21 points to 2,847.39 at close of trading today.
Financial stocks were on the back foot amid continued uncertainty in the sector, with AIB shedding 12c to €2.01, Bank of Ireland down 4c to €2.01 and Irish Life & Permanent dropping 12c to €3.48.
