Consumer confidence in Ireland dipped again this month following an unexpected surge in June, according to the latest assessment by KBC Bank and the ESRI.

The two organisations say their consumer sentiment index dropped by four points in July after a series of high-profile job losses and negative reports about the state of the economy.
