IMF to deliver bleak assessment of Irish economy

The International Monetary Fund is expected to deliver a bleak assessment of the Irish economy in a report due out later today.

The organisation, which supervises the world financial system, is expected to issue a gloomier prediction for the Irish economy than that being put forward by the Government.
