Setanta board to discuss potential rescue deal

There could be a light at the end of the tunnel for 200 Setanta Sports workers in Ireland whose jobs have been hanging in the balance for the past week.

Reports this morning say the founders of the Irish-based pay-TV firm have found an international backer prepared to invest around €59m in the company in return for a majority stake in the broadcaster.
