Tullow Oil, in an Interim Management Statement released ahead of its AGM in London later today, has reported a strong start to 2009, saying that its Jubilee development in Ghana is on track to produce its first oil in the second half of next year.

Tullow Oil, in an Interim Management Statement released ahead of its AGM in London later today, has reported a strong start to 2009, saying that its Jubilee development in Ghana is on track to produce its first oil in the second half of next year.

The company reported a 100% success rate with its drilling operations in both Ghana and Uganda where wells yielded "substantial" new discoveries.
