Ryanair announces 12% increase in passenger numbers

Ryanair has today confirmed April traffic of 5.3 million, a 12% increase compared to April 2008.

Ryanair head of communications Stephen McNamara said: "While some growth can be attributed to Easter falling later this year April was another strong month of growth at the expense of high cost airlines who see passengers continue to switch to Ryanair."
