Drinks industry calls for action after 6% fall in sales

New figures released this afternoon show that alcohol sales fell by 6% last year.

The data, published by the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland, also shows that alcohol sales plummeted by 35% in December, when compared to the same month in 2007.
