Banking giant HSBC is to launch a rights issue tomorrow to raise more than £12bn (€13.5bn), it has been widely reported.
The bank, which has resisted taking a share in the British government’s taxpayer-funded bailout, is expected to announce the share sale alongside its annual results tomorrow.
