The ISEQ index of Irish shares fell 12 points in morning trading to 2,037.86 by 11am.
All the financial heavyweights were down; AIB and Irish Life and Permanent both dropped 4c to 43c and 66c respectively. Bank of Ireland fell just 3c to 24c per share.
