UBS to shed 2,000 jobs

Ailing bank UBS today announced plans to cut at least 2,000 more jobs as it unveiled huge losses for the final three months of 2008.

The Swiss giant’s investment banking division – which has already shed 6,100 jobs since October 2007 – will feel the brunt of the cuts.
