Slight gain for ISEQ

The ISEQ index of Irish shares showed a slight gain of six points to 2,334.36 by 11am.

The financials had a mixed morning; AIB fell 10c to €1.26 with Irish Life and Permanent down 4c to €1.71. Bank of Ireland however gained 4c to 68c per share.

The construction heavyweights had a positive morning; CRH soared 27c to €18.27, Kingspan and Grafton both jumped 5c to €2.71 and €1.57 respectively. McInerney remained static at 12c per share.

Elsewhere, Ryanair fell 8c to €2.95 with Aer Lingus down a modest 2c to €1.06.
