The ISEQ index of Irish shares was up 2% this morning, jumping 56 points to 2,334.84 by 11am.
It was a positive morning for the financial heavyweights; Bank of Ireland had the biggest gain, up 18c to 60c. AIB was close behind gaining 15c to 90c and Irish Life and Permanent was up 10c to €1.70.
