Ryanair 'disappointed' by Govt decision on Aer Lingus

Ryanair has said it is 'disappointed' by the Government's decision not to accept its offer of €1.40 per share for its 25.12% shareholding in Aer Lingus, which values the former Irish flag-carrier at €748m.

In a statement issued late yesterday, the budget airline said however that it would "respect and abide by" the Government's decision, which meant that Ryanair's offer for Aer Lingus would not be successful.
