The Government is being warned that 20,000 jobs may be in jeopardy unless urgent action is taken to stabilise the rate of exchange between sterling and the euro.

The warning comes from the Irish Farmers Association and the Irish Exporters Association, who are proposing the Government enter a Sterling Equalisation Support Scheme.
