Japan's surplus account plunges
Japan says its current account surplus plunged 65.9% in November from a year earlier due to a growing deficit in goods and services.
The Finance Ministry said today that the surplus in the current account – the broadest measure of Japan’s trade with the rest of the world – stood at 581.2 billion yen (€4.86bn) in November, marking the ninth consecutive month of year-on-year declines.
