ISEQ up 3%

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed at 2,501.88 today, an increase of 82.38 points or 3.4%.

The main talking point was the suspension of trading in shares in Waterford Wedgwood, which has called in the administrators, with the fear of 800 job losses.
