Ryanair has promised to recognise trade unions at Aer Lingus if it succeeds in its latest takeover bid for the former national airline.

Ryanair has promised to recognise trade unions at Aer Lingus if it succeeds in its latest takeover bid for the former national airline.

If the takeover is accepted, the no-frills carrirer is also promising to restore Aer Lingus's Shannon-Heathrow flights and place control of the company's valuable Heathrow slots with the Irish Government.
