ISEQ reports small gain

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed at 2,524.74 this evening, an increase of 52.16 or 2.11%.

All of the major banks were up - AIB increased 37c to €2.77, Anglo Irish Bank was up 5c to 93c, Bank of Ireland made a 13c gain to €1.51 and Irish Life & Permanent was up 28c to €1.64, a rise of 20%.
