ISEQ up in morning trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares finished the morning's trading session in the black, up 56.23 points to 2,519.53 by 1pm.

Most banks were among the risers, with only Anglo Irish Bank slipping 1c to stay below the €1 mark at 98c. Both AIB and Irish Life and Permanent made gains, with the former up 35c to €2.64 and IL&P rising 11c to €1.26. Bank of Ireland was also up 5.61% to €1.39.
