Dublin councillors approve 3.3% rise in business rates

Dublin City Council has voted to adopt a highly controversial budget that will see commercial rates rise next year despite an ongoing fall in retail sales.

Councillors voted by a margin of 28 to 22 to approve a 3.3 % hike in business rates under the plan.
